IN PURSUIT OF
GROSS ANIMAL HAPPINESS
The Maya Foundation is a U.S. registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and exists with the humble goal to help those less fortunate – animals and humans alike – through promoting and influencing more compassionate, comprehensive, and innovative health and veterinary care within Bhutan. We are committed to provide that which supports life, and quality thereof, through collaborative efforts locally and abroad.
At present our main project is The Barnyard Bhutan Animal Rescue & Sanctuary located in Paro, Bhutan – a two and a half acre rescue center and shelter providing care for approximately 400 animals. We welcome any and all species of animal in need from dogs and cats, horses and mules, pigs and goats and cattle, to snakes, birds, and mice. We are a no-kill sanctuary and services are always free.
Thus, The Maya Foundation operates simply under the belief that all beings, including animals, deserve care and love, and a chance at life.
